The Rot of Osborne Estate

The Osborne Manor has been standing as a landmark for the town of Maplebrooke far longer than the family it's named after have called it home. For the townsfolk of Maplebrooke, it may as well have been here as long as the forest itself. Those that have been there have talked about a strange feeling they had about the house and it’s residents, but there's been no reason for worry until recently. First came the tragic death of the second son of the family Ray Osborne, then came the family isolating themselves from the people in town. Now, one of the youngest members of the family, Jacob Carter, has gone missing without a trace. The rumors and fear have spread like a plague through the town, and it looked like it might just boil over into a full on police investigation. In what seemed to be a final cry for help, the head of the family Henry Osborne sent out this advertisement in the newspaper.

“Help Wanted: Anyone willing to investigate the disappearance of one Jacob Carter and the source of a strange illness in one Eleanor Osborne. Room and board provided, with a cash reward of $5000.”
